All About our

Toddler Program

Blessings Academy Early Learning Center is a small, family-focused center where your child is never “just a number.” With our small classroom sizes, we can offer personalized care, strong family relationships, and a warm, home-like atmosphere. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing space where every child is known, celebrated, and encouraged to grow at their own pace, while parents feel like true partners in their child’s learning journey.

Our Toddler program focuses on social-emotional growth and ensuring that each child develops a sense of independence.

Safety

Safety remains our top priority. Our toddler classrooms are designed specifically for active toddlers, with secure furniture, soft play areas, and age-appropriate toys. We use a secure entry system so only authorized family members can enter. Teachers are CPR and First Aid certified and trained to closely supervise toddlers, especially during active play. Because we’re a small center with limited enrollment, your toddler will always be in a calm, well-supervised environment.

We follow strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures to keep our classrooms safe. Toys, tables, and play areas are sanitized daily, and we wash hands frequently throughout the day. Children and staff who are ill must stay home to prevent the spread of germs. Because our center is small, your child is part of a close-knit group, reducing exposure to large crowds.

Learning and Development

At this stage, toddlers are exploring and learning through play! Our teachers use a play-based, research-driven curriculum as well as some structured learning techniques that focuses on social-emotional growth, early language, motor skills, and problem-solving. Daily activities include singing, dancing, reading, art, sensory play, and outdoor time—all designed to encourage independence and confidence while preparing your child for preschool.

We believe toddlers learn best in a positive, nurturing environment. Our low teacher-to-child ratio and small classroom sizes ensure every child is closely supervised.  Our teachers use gentle guidance and positive redirection to help children understand their feelings and choices. We focus on teaching emotional regulation, modeling kindness, and working closely with parents for consistent strategies. No punishment—just love, patience, and age-appropriate teaching.

Meals and Snacks

Your child will have breakfast, lunch and a snack each day while in our care.  We provide healthy, balanced snacks and meals that meet state guidelines for nutrition. If your toddler has dietary needs or allergies, we work closely with families to ensure that we meet those needs. Mealtime is also a learning opportunity—we encourage toddlers to practice self-feeding, manners, and independence.

We work hand-in-hand with parents to make potty training a positive, stress-free experience. Our teachers encourage independence by modeling routines, offering frequent bathroom breaks, and celebrating successes. We follow your family’s approach so there’s consistency between home and school.

Communication

We keep parents connected through Brightwheel, a secure parent app that sends daily updates, photos, and notes about your toddler’s meals, naps, milestones, and fun moments. We’re also available for daily conversations during drop-off and pick-up, and we hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss your child’s growth and goals.
